Switch on day!

No less than 24 hours post surgery - the moment has come 😆

With the fantastic team at the Hearing House, putting on the new N7 Cochlear Processor and hearing from the left ear for the very first time.

Honoured to be invited to be part of this journey from start to finish and to be of support.

Totally rewarding to be able to make such a difference.

Hats off to the awesome and caring team at the Hearing House 😍

Did you know there is help even if hearing aids can’t help you?

The day is finally here!
Early morning admission to Gillies Hospital.

With this deserving and lovely lady, whom I supported through the process of getting a cochlear implant!

First day of the phenomenal change to come - to be included into the hearing world.

Thank you NCIP for your wonderful work you do for all children and adults.

Deaf Aotearoa
It’s New Zealand Sign Language Week! Keep an eye out for lots of exciting videos, events and news throughout this week! Just like we did last year, we have invited leaders around New Zealand to take part in our NZSL Leaders Challenge! This is a challenge to leaders in New Zealand who don’t know NZSL, to learn and sign a brief message to show their support for NZSL Week. Once again, Prime Minster Jacinda Ardern has accepted the challenge to be our first leader of 2019! If you’re a leader and you’re interested in participating in the challenge, email nzslweek@deaf.org.nz for details. #NZSLWeek #NZSLWeek2019 #MyLanguageMyPlace
